I'm a downtempo artist... Sup Bro?

So I created about 30 songs with lyrics from my heart that meant something. But I wasn't satisfied. Then I realized It was the last day of the year and I said I would have something out by the end of the year. So here is a few beats. I'll release actual full-songs lyrics included soon though. Sometime. Eventually.

Website:
http://thebombdiggity.bandcamp.com

Artist Statement - I broke my foot skateboarding. I thought I creating music would be fun.

thebombdiggity - I was thinking and such

Genre: Downtempo, Lo-Fi, Experimental, Chill,

Track Listing
1. There was a tiny kingdom at the bottom of the trees
2. Where I was always a winner
3. And I was usually right

You can download it for free at my bandcamp, or on http://What.CD

I started skating, and I broke my deck on the first 3 stair I tried.

I'll get a new deck sometime withen the next couple weeks. :/

I am also on my way to becoming a Pokemon Champion. I'll update you on that later

I've failed yet again once in your eyes
you don't accept me as who I need to be
neither have you learned of my current insides
I'll sit and stare into the dark in which I call my heart
to ponder for unknown amount of time
please don't come around and leave me lay.

Dumb Youth is generally known for not sharing feelings, being heartless, and overall; stupid robot children who do not accomplish anything. Well; I guess this might change a few views? Everyone in the world could be considered an "emotional person" if the right circumstances appear.

In other non-depressing words and such; I'll be back on a skateboard about a day before 2011 starts.

BIRDMISSLES!

So my EP went from being an experimental.noise cd to horrible piano playing and crappy lyrics of nonsense. Then I decided to add something metaphorical so it wasn't a total waste and maybe people would listen to it. Then it became a live cd so I could pass off the horribleness and say I'm expressing pure emotion. (That's why the piano is messed up and has no real chords or harmony in track 3; err the whole thing really)

Now I have so many songs I'm not sure what to put in the final cut. I still have more ideas I'd like try, and a talented friend I'd like to feature in a song. It'll drop before 2011 though. This isn't Detox.

I want to go to a toga party dressed as a goat

Two cows were eating grass along a road. A rabbit jumps out of a bush and hobbles away. One of the cows wanders away to find more plentiful grass.

Sigh.
My blog needs more stunts. The Doctor says I can walk without crutches, but I still need the boot for 4 more weeks. Then I'll be put in an "Air Cast" thing. I'm not really sure.

Tuesday, November 2, 2010

is it just bridges?

Yawnnnnn,
uhhh; right you're expecting me to say stuff.

My Experimental.Noise EP is coming along pretty well. It'll feature some tracks. I'm pretty sure it will disappoint.

Chill til next week,
Andrew

Nothin' to do and no where to go-o-oh I wanna be sedated

Guess what? (I bet you said what! hah! Do I win?)

I broke my uhh.. Fibuah? fibla? one sec I need to ask my Mom.
....
I cracked my Fibula near my ankle on my right leg. The doctor says I can't put any pressure on it for about 8 weeks. It will probably be longer before I can skateboard and start doing more then just carving again. Drops and stair sets actually scare me when I think about me doing it again. I can't believe I'm admitting that to myself. Breaking a bone doesn't bother me. The pain is fine without pills or medication. But yet, not knowing how strong my bone will be when I land with impact and that I could possibly displace it this time worries the hell out of me. It brings up in my mind that less then 6 weeks before this I broke my toe, and that this can happen again. I know the jumps I did before were already rough on a Fibula that wasn't broken. Something tells me that I should accept my limitations, but I feel as if I will be disappointed in myself come the future. I must continue on.

If I have to sit here for 8 weeks doing nothing but surfing the internet, I am going to only talk about Buffalo 3 weeks in. I am on a journey to perfect such things I would never attempt to do otherwise.

#1 Release an EP under "Dumb Uhh... Records" Experimental.Noise Label
#2 Learn to "Extreme Wheelchair" at the skate park and be awesome.
#3 Become a Pokemon Master

I'll update you next week with how these things are coming along.

For those who still don't understand; "Those Kids" will not be released 11-9-10 and a new release date is unknown. Look for it during Spring 2011.

My thoughts lay deep within the carmel coffee creamer.

I think I am going to start replacing my everyday talk with metaphorical phrases. Nobody would be able to tell what I was trying to say, or if I was being serious. Yet to those with deep poetic feeling, I could speak much. Or that one book at the library said something like that. Oh well, who really cares anyway?

I've been sick since Sunday, but that doesn't stop me from being out of the ordinary!

I'm still keeping my eyes alert for Mountain Dew Whiteout. :[

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

Dude; you're talking reallllllllly fast, yo.

So it has been exactly one week since I have started filming for "Those Kids!"
My body can not be summed up in words or pictures. But this is pretty good

During my recovery phase I'm starting an "Experimental Noise" band.

THIS IS NONSENSE!

Whats Up DUY supporters? Yes that's right, I called YOU a supporter. You're here, you count.
....
Please don't leave I'm sorry?

READY FOR THE BIG NEWS?!?!?!

I would explain all the details, but this video seems much more appropriate.

Ohhohohohoohhhh ohohhohohoh-wait; the song isn't playing anymore.

I realized the last video I did was not planned at all. 1 day of filming in which I decided to do jump off of everything at a college. I had a lot of low grade footage, and nothing really interesting happened. My business card says I am an amateur rag-doll impersonator, and I'm going to prove it.

It has been nearly a month since I broke my toe, and I feel its been a month to long since I've skated. With the encouragement of the great folks at Excellent Glory I am embracing on a new video. All attempts will be filmed. All ideas will be successfully landed. And hopefully stuff besides just skateboarding will be added.

11-9-10
Expect It.

Peace In DUY.

YES IT IS WEDNESDAY

I've been seeing this a lot.
I'll talk to you with news next week.
BIG NEWS.
Bye.

What's up? ABOUT TO DO A BACKFLIP IN CHINA! YOU MAN???

Okay, I don't understand at all when you go over to someones house and the first thing they ask is:
"What's Up?"
"Uhh, I'm not sure man. Just chilling at you're house right now. What about you?" "Same."
"Cool."
What do you really expect as an answer? Should I just respond with "Not Much." Because I mean, I sent my hologram to your house, and that's what's truly staring at you in the face as we speak. Either way, start expecting random remarks from me.

Has anyone heard of the group Super Disco Vitamin Subscribers? WHOA YOU HAVE? Dude you're super hipster. (Oh btw, while you're google searching them I just want to tell you I made up the name) Instead I want to ask if anyone has heard of Vitamin String Quartet? The people that have close to a million tribute songs in violins? It's awesome and their Weezer tribute has given me inspiration to make another skate video :D You'll be seeing it before October ends hopefully. Everything I attempt I'm actually going to do it until I land it... Or until my board breaks. In that case I just stop making the video unless someone lends me their board.

Did I mention I finally got Xbox Live set up? Add our GamerTag: OrganicCashews

To end this post I'm giving a shout-out to DUY's first fan-mail from Alycia and Megan :D Were glad some people actually read this!

Peace In.

WHAT ARE YE TALKING ABOOT?

For the next few minutes you will be influenced by high-intensity videos, a few witty remarks, and an interview with the clothing company "Excellent Glory".

First of all: This post will make as much sense as... well... This (skip to 0:45)

I don't know. Just try and keep up. Water Breaks are recommended. And If you need to pause-WAIT THIS IS NOT A P90X VIDEO! That stuff demoralizes you. Lets just watch a shorter more interesting video?

I wish I would of thought of that. Instead any other attempt in my video to do something remotely close to this would not be as awesome anymore. :(

Did I mention I want to do this one day?

The videos are produced by a guy named Remi Gaillard. You can check out his youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/user/nqtv

On another subject changer, don't you just hate when people send you one word texts and then get mad at you when you don't respond? "Yeah" "lol" "okay" How am I supposed to respond to such, one words? With smileys!
If I get a "Yeah" you get a :o
If I get an "okay" you get a "x_x , a ._. , or the famous r_r"
And if you send me a "lol" you just get a " v_v "

So now that we covered that stuff, lets get to that awesome interview with Excellent Glory I mentioned earlier!

Andrew: When I first saw your brand, I absolutely loved the name! Is there a story behind how you choose Excellent Glory?
Excellent Glory: Well actually it was an accidental idea, I was thinking about a name for my project and it came to my head "excellent glory". First I thought the meaning of this two words have something in common with victory but than I realized that this two word can have also some religious aspects. So I really liked it

Andrew: -chuckles- yeah, every time I go to your site I always go to excellentglory.com first then see the cross and religion and I'm like oh yeah! excellent DASH glory dot com

Excellent Glory: yes this is funny. But really when I was thinking about the brand name "Excellent Glory" The name didn't appear in my head as it could mean the father hahah

Andrew: When I surf your site, I feel as if its a movement of something. What type of scene does EG try to appeal to and what kind of message do you try to send out to your market?

Excellent Glory: Excellent Glory is aimed at positively crazy people who (just like me) have a laid back attitude to life and the world and most of all to themselves. This is the most important thing to me. My potential client must have fun of wearing EG.

Andrew: What's your personal favorite design currently available from your line?

Excellent Glory: Of course I love all of the designs. As all of these ideas were born in my head. I really really like - are you eg?, out of the system and traps of universe. It's really hard to say because all of them are important to me.

Andrew: Whats your thought process on making a new shirt?
Excellent Glory: Well first I have to tell you that excellent glory is not only me.
I am the idea man but I cooperate with a very talented graphic designer who helps me to illustrate all of my ideas and concepts. Hes a very good friend of mine and we understand each other very good. When I began with the project I was searching for a good graphic designer and it was really hard, not because I couldn't find any talented one, but because our process of thinking were very different. So back to your question: When i have an idea for a new tee, we meet and talk a lot , than he makes some skizzes and we talk again till we find the right way to illustrate.

Andrew: Anything big coming up for EG?
Excellent Glory: We plan to show our t-shirts at the Fashion Week Poland in October, and we want to make and show a new design.

Andrew: Any links we should checkout to stay up with EG?
Excellent Glory: http://excellent-glory.com
Youtube
Flickr
Facebook
And Our Twitter http://twitter.com/excellentglory

Andrew: Anything you feel needs to be added to the interview? (maybe a random fact about EG, what your office looks like, etc)

Excellent Glory: Well it's not big hahah one room for tees and one for meetings. We are a small company that has just began. The idea was born a little more than two years ago but the selling we started at the end of January 2010. What's really important for EG that we sew our t-shirt in Poland and they are really china free, made in a human friendly manufacture.

Andrew: Cool yo, We seem to see less and less companies care about quality over profit now. Thanks again for your time mate :D

Today I want to be a pirate and sit on a cornflakes

Well, I'd want to be a pirate until someone wanted to throw overboard, Or until I got a cut, or I smelled a fellow pirate... Let me rephrase that: I just want a pirate costume and to walk around the mall. Ignore I mentioned cornflakes because that can't be explained.

I was planning on posting some awesome pictures of skating this week, but I didn't really get to do that whole "skating" thing because of my big toe on my right foot is sort-of about 3x bigger than normal. Pro Tip: Don't land Primo if you have a foot underneath your board.

However DUY still has their first interview with the amazing ArmadilloBoy!

Andrew: Introductions are a very hard thing for me... Why don't we play rock paper scissors to get it started?
Andrew: 1 2 3 shoot?
Armadilloboy: rock
Andrew: scissors..
Armadilloboy: yay I win
Andrew: dangit! Okay

Andrew: So the first thing I noticed about your personal website was that its bright, vivid, and full of awesome drawings...
Whats your usual process for creating your vivid characters?

Armadilloboy: my ideas come from everything around me, i get inspired real easy, music, swirls in the ceiling, cracks in the pavement, shapes of the clouds. When I'm stuck for ideas i usually squiggle on a page and look for characters within the lines..... I'm a fairly happy person so i think that helps with how my creations are more often then not....cheerful in expression

Andrew: I'm going to borrow that squiggling on lines idea next time I try to do draw something...

Armadilloboy: Go for it!! I suggest it to anyone who get blocks....even if they look pants you can grow on the ideas that come out....

Andrew: Obviously everyone draws on paper, but for your digital creations(such as on deviantart): What kind of equipment do you use?

Armadilloboy: I like to use illustrator (adobe) I thrive on vector imagery.....i sometimes use photoshop too to add a little texture....

Andrew: Ah! I could never figure out illustrator.. When drawing digitally though do you use a tablet? or is it all done by mouse etc

Armadilloboy: I actually use a laptop, I use the clicker and mouse pad to create my work, which is mostly made up of both shapes and the pen tool....I sometimes use a mouse when working from my PC. I actually prefer using the laptop though.

Andrew: whoa, that sounds really hardcore yo.

Andrew: Links We Need To Check Out?

Armadilloboy: http://www.jestart.co.uk/download.html I've just finished a TMNT paper toy set....plus I have other fun things to download for free too
I too have a shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/armadilloboy

Armadilloboy: I usually update people on twitter with all my stuff...but you can find my work here at flickr and DA....

Andrew: -just grabbed the paper toy set- I'm now on a mission to find a printer so I can make these :D

Armadilloboy: hehe!! yay! have fun! best made with a soft or light card

Andrew: Anything else, your favorite meal, or just whatever you feel like needs to be added?

Armadilloboy: well my favourite food and most inspiration food has to be pizza!!! ham and pineapple to be exact!! lol....I love colours, orange, purple, sapphire blue and magenta, I'm into dinosaurs....it's kool to like dinosaurs! I love t-shirts and trainers! haha....simple is the way forward when it comes to my art, I love graffiti and really appreciate others takes on sticker art.....

Andrew: I think we might be related.

Armadilloboy: word! It's great to know that others share the same interested!! helps me carry on making art...knowing others appreciate what goes into it!

Thanks again to ArmadilloBoy for taking the time to make our banner :D Be sure to check out his personal site here: http://jestart.co.uk

Today feels like monday...

Maybe my calendar is lying to me. I wonder what people did before cellphones or computers though? Did Mill Workers in New England even care if it was Friday the 11th of September and not a Wednesday in July? If they didn't care when did people start paying attention to the date? I hope other people have wondered about that before...

Oh, and just so you all know: while you're reading the rest of this column I'll be listening to some Baskerville's Disco Biscuits CD, debating on whether to buy an Xbox 360 or save for a car, and arguing about getting a haircut because my hair is just so darned long. (and I could possibly be annoying a reader so much right now he starts a dis-like group)

This week (well, last Friday) uhmm, err, this happened?
Apparel Can Only Make You So Great

What can I say besides it seemed like a really good idea at the time. Like my shirt? Don't hate because you're not a HERO yet yo.

OOOOoooOOoooOOooOooooOOOoOoOooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooo

Not sure about that O's but yeah next subject!
I would like to give a shout out to a clothing company called Excellent Glory.
I truly believe they live up their name as well. Their packaging is superb and it really impressed me.

An officially tag, stitched tag, plastic cover, a sticker stating the size, and then inside a box with a note?! These people really care about customer satisfaction!
Their headquarters reigns from Poland and as their twitter says they are a "Cosmo-Polish street wear project"

Did I mention that this was the softest tshirt I have ever worn? It felt so cozy :D
Check their site at http://excellent-glory.com
Oh, and if you're wondering about the pineapple: it was awesome.

Before I close do you like the banner? Give thanks to the one and only ArmadilloBoy over at http://jest.art.co.uk (Did I mention we're interviewing him next week?)

Peace In Readers

You know those skullcandys you bought?

(I hope I never have to recommend people to use these again)
But anyway, take them out and plug them in.

You don't have them plugged in. I know you don't. You're not going to? Fine! At least listen to this song while you're reading though.

If you have an attention disorder, well never mind I don't want to distract you. Just read as far as you can.

If you like flashing pictures start clicking the dinosaurs.

Are you still here? *whistles*
Oh hey! didn't see you there still reading.

Does anyone else not look forward to long road drives? Not because of where you're going or what you're going to do(or did), but rather because while your in the car you happen to think and ponder on a lot. Why would any human want to think so much? You are now welcomed back to reality. Everything that happened during your trip won't amount to anything more then real-time pleasure or a few stories. But you still come back to your home, your friends are still there. Everything is the way it was before the trip. As if it was just a dream you could say. Maybe writing this post while in the car and seeing nothing but waist high trees and semi dead grass is depressing. Pretty good song though am I right?

Peace In Yo

Some people can write a new blogpost every day

I call those people hipsters. I however, do not have the ability to write about something every day. Starting next week there will be new posts every Tuesday. Hopefully they will have more action-packed-monsters-with-pineapples-skateboarding-on-a-lighthouse-who-speak-in-non-dash-marks. But that is just what I'm hoping for and there is no guarantee.

Has anybody heard of "intA" from "MFCP Crew" / -ATE-?
I came across the names when searching for KAWS figures.

For more photos from MFCP check out:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/intergalactics/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/inta_one

p.s. Did you know when you eat pineapple with a burnt tongue it burns? Common sense isn't always present.

Why do we say peace out? and not peace IN?

I mean, that makes no sense. I feel as if I'm telling people that I want the peace to be out and other stuff should come in. I imagine the conversation being something like this:

Guy: Yo Peace!
Peace: Sup mate?
Guy: OUT!
Peace: what?
Guy: I said peace out! That means you get out!
Peace sighs

That's just my view though.

Remember that preview I was talking about? No? Well, in that case all of you can just click play below.

More to come filled with less-failure moments :D
Peace In
